PLANT SYMPHONY
a composition created through capacitance
Toccata
Toccata itself comes from the musical term meaning a composition designed to showcase the technical prowess and proficiency of a performer, it comes from the Italian word ‘toccare’ meaning “to touch.”Toccata represents the literal act of touching the plants to create the soundscape but also to show the complexity of nature and the time it may take for a person to understand it.
We are a group of passionate students coming from diverse backgrounds with different skill sets who want to create art that connects humans and nature and explore ways technology can be harnessed to explore deeper connections to nature through interactive sound installations.
